Grivel Pro Program, Terms and Conditions

// Overview
Grivel Corp. (“Grivel”) offers the Grivel Pro Program (the “Pro Program”) through us.grivel.com. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply specifically to participation in the Pro Program and supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which continue to govern all other aspects of your use of the Services.
By registering to become a member of the Pro Program, and by accessing, using or participating in the Pro Program, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and you agree to these Terms.
To join the Pro Program, you must belong to one of the categories of industry professionals listed below. Membership must be renewed yearly.
Applications to the Pro Program are assessed on an individual basis, and membership is granted at our discretion following evaluation of the qualifying criteria listed below. The qualifying details are issued as guidance only, the list of categories is not exhaustive, and Grivel reserves the right to consider additional applications.
Please read all the information below before applying. To be approved, you must complete all required steps and provide the required documentation as described.
// Qualifying Criteria and Approval Procedure
To apply to the Grivel Pro Program, you must provide your personal or work email address and your name, associated with proof of active employment or engagement in one of the following categories:
| Mountain Guides |
Affiliated mountaineering, mountain leaders and climbing guides with recognized certification from a national or regional body. Qualifying documents Current guide license. |
| Snowsports Instructor |
Ski and snowsports instructors certified by their national agency. Qualifying documents Current certification from your national agency and/or membership card for a ski instructors' association. |
| Search and Rescue (SAR) |
Current members of search and rescue agencies with demonstrable proof of membership and participation in search and rescue activities. Qualifying documents

| Ski Patrol / Snow Safety |
Ski patrollers and avalanche/snow safety experts working full-time at ski resorts. Qualifying documents
For avalanche / snow safety workers Current employment document from your mountain resort or regional governing body, whichever controls avalanche mitigation. |
| Outdoor Industry |
Full-time employees of outdoor brands, suppliers and distributors whose employers are members of organizations offering a reciprocal deal to Grivel employees. Qualifying documents

| Backcountry, Mountain Hiking and Trail Running Guides & Instructors |
Full-time guides working for recognized backcountry or hiking operators. Qualifying documents

| Mountain Resort Employee |
Full-time employees of mountain resorts working in corporate management or on dirt/snow. Applications from employees involved in food service, day care or similar roles will not be accepted. Qualifying documents
|
| Climbing Gym Employees |
Full-time employees of climbing gyms. Qualifying documents Contract of employment or redacted recent paystub (only information necessary for identification, with confidential data hidden). |
| Outdoor Media / Professional Photographer |
Full-time employees at established outdoor-focused publications and media outlets, including but not limited to photographers and videographers. Primary occupation must be in the outdoors. Qualifying documents

// Application Process
Please send the proper documentation to support your application in a timely manner. If you have a question about your application, email shopus@grivel.com. Once you submit the required documentation and information, you will receive confirmation of acceptance or rejection of your application within 5 business days.
What could prevent an application from being approved:

// Program Terms
| 1 // | Membership in the Pro Program should be considered a privilege, not a right or entitlement. It is not a partnership between Grivel and Pro Program members. |
| 2 // | The Pro Program membership is for personal use only. Products purchased using your Pro Program membership discount are designated for personal use. |
| 3 // | Resale and/or gifting is prohibited. Unless stated otherwise, the purchase of gifts or resale activity through Pro Program discounts will result in the termination of your Pro Program membership. |
| 4 // | Membership is non-transferable, and discount use is limited to the individual approved member. In the event of a dispute over ownership of a membership, the registration will be declared to have been made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of registration, as determined by Grivel. For the purposes of these Terms, the “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned to the submitted email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (business, educational institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. |
| 5 // | The Pro Program membership entitles you to a maximum of 2000 USD spending limit during your 12-month membership period (total amount spent after application of the Pro Program discount). Grivel reserves the right to track each individual member's purchases. |
| 6 // | Grivel reserves the right to change the Pro Program Terms and Conditions at any time. Electing to remain a member after a change in the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Revisions may include, but are not limited to: ceasing to provide a benefit, revision of eligibility criteria, spending limits, and the operation and application of Pro Program discounts. |
| 7 // | The discount and benefits of Pro Program membership are to be kept discreet. Non-eligible, non-member parties interested in Grivel should be referred to us.grivel.com. Parties eligible for Grivel Pro Program membership may be referred to the Pro Program application page to submit a personal application. |
| 8 // | Abuse of the Pro Program, including failure to abide by these Terms or our Terms of Service, the sale or barter (or attempted sale or barter) of benefits or promotional offers, excessive returns of qualifying purchases, fraud or tampering with any benefit (including any survey, poll or sweepstakes entry), misrepresentation of fact relating thereto, or other improper conduct as determined by Grivel at its sole discretion, may result in cancellation of a member's membership, future disqualification from Pro Program participation, and cancellation of previously issued but unused benefits. At our discretion we may prosecute abuse of the Pro Program to the fullest extent of the law. |

// Making a Purchase as a Pro Program Member
// General Terms and Data Processing
These Pro Program Terms supplement our Terms of Service. General matters such as warranties, liability, governing law, dispute resolution, indemnification, severability and all other provisions not specific to the Pro Program are covered in the Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Pro Program Terms and the Terms of Service, these Pro Program Terms govern solely with respect to matters specific to the Pro Program.
The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with your Pro Program application and membership are governed by our Privacy Policy. By registering for the Pro Program, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
